Ronnie Nominated at the Sony Awards 2012!!

Ronnie’s show has been nominated once again at the UK’s most prestigious radio awards ceremony, The Sony Awards.

Last year Ronnie fought off stiff competition and walked away with the Gold as The Music Radio Personality of the Year.

This year he’s nominated in the Specialist Music Show cateogry and he’s up against:

Another Country with Ricky Ross – BBC Radio Scotland
David Rodigan – Somethin’ Else for BBC Radio 2
Friday Night Is Music Night – BBC Radio 2
Music: Response – Xfm

Here is a full list of the nominations. The event takes takes place on May 14th at The Grosvenor House Hotel.

The Ronnie Wood TV Show launched on Sky Arts HD on Friday night (Feb 24th). The show is on every Friday at 11pm for ten weeks. The TV show came about directly from the radio show. The idea is simple, it’s the radio show on TV! Ronnie, all of his great stories and some fantastic guests all filmed in Ronnie’s radio studio.

Just like the radio show the mood is intimate and warm as Ronnie and his pals, including Alice Cooper, Mark Ronson, Bobby Gillespie, Mick Hucknall, Ian McLagan, Steve Cropper, Toots Hibbert and Kelly Jones, reminisce and strum along to the music.

It’s been a fantastic year for Ronnie and his highly acclaimed radio show which is broadcast on Absolute Classic Rock and syndicated internationally.
